Action: Bergamot is used to treat staph and strep infections. It works as an anti-infectious, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiparasitic, analgesic, and antiseptic. It may help with acne, loss of appetite, depression, anxiety, oily complexion, respiratory infections, varicose veins and urinary tract infections.
Application: Apply topically to the wrists, behind the ears, and on the neck and face as well as points of need. Rub between hands and breathe in the fragrance. Can be used as perfume.
Fragrance Influence: Uplifting and refreshing.
Companion Oils: Can be used with most oils, but goes especially well with chamomile, cypress, eucalyptus, geranium, jasmine, juniper, lavender, lemon, and ylang-ylang.
Safety Data: Consult with physician if pregnant or under doctor's care. Test small area of skin prior to use for sensitivity. If skin irritation occurs, do not use water to wash, but use a carrier oil to dilute. Wash hands thoroughly after using oils. Avoid contact with eyes. Not for use on children 6 years and younger.
