Action: Cistus is used as an antimicrobial, antiseptic, astringent, diuretic, expectorant and a tonic. Can be used to help stop bleeding, boils, bronchitis, colds, coughs, urinary infections, wounds and wrinkles.
Application: Apply topically to the wrists, behind the ears, and on the neck and face as well as point of need. Rub between hands and breathe in the fragrance. Can be used as perfume. Diffuse.
Fragrance Influence: Stimulating.
Companion Oils: Can be used with most oils, but goes especially well with bergamot, calamus, chamomile, clary sage, cypress, juniper, lavender, lavandin, patchouli, pine, sandalwood, and vetiver.
Safety Data: Consult with physician if pregnant or under doctor's care. Test small area of skin prior to use for sensitivity. If skin irritation occurs, do not use water to wash, but use a carrier oil to dilute. Wash hands thoroughly after using oils. Avoid contact with eyes. Not for use on children 6 years and younger.
